Currently it is winter here, starting to slowly become spring... but not so much. ( a few weeks ago, closer to the wedding, It snowed here in Curitiba for the first time in 70+ years!... and I wasnt here for it lol) My weather App says its 52 F˚ but when you are in a structure that is not air tight, cause there is not heating or air. it can sometimes feel like you are sleeping outside...but its okay when you have a heater blanket, and a fire place :)
There are so many Beautiful places here, when it gets a bit warmer we are going to go on photo adventures :) Here are a few pictures of what we have done so far :)
my view from the plane when we were getting close to landing...
Ruans parents house in the Military village, where we are staying till the
renovations on our house are complete.
Our dog J.J. in his warm house i made him in the sun room. He is all warm now at night :)
(made out of my stash of delta blankets lol )
This was the ceremony the Brazilian Air force had for Ruans Dad, because he is retired now. the whole morning gathering was for him. it was pretty cool to watch!
This was at the lunch we had afterwards with his friends at the base. This is a typical "Churrascho" the way they cook meat here. it was so good!
This was one of our meals at home, Ruans mom made Stroganoff. They have these little potato sticks here that are like cute tiny little fries, that taste like lays potato chips, and they typically put it on whatever they are eating, i.e. Rice and Beans.. they are addicting.. lol
This was my very first batch of the Bessa chocolate popcorn.. also very good. and now i know how to make it :D
This was our little cutie pie friend from Chilé. She was at the
lunch with her family at the Mayors house with us...
These are a few cool things I saw on the way to Church sunday! HAHA.. Brazil is funny. The fake statue of liberty is in front of a store called HAVAN, which is kinda like a Target, in the US.
This is the view out the window of our Church! Crossroads Curitiba.
there is a sports court with two soccer fields and a volley ball court. tons of kids playing all the time..
A picture of the Daisys that Mrs. Luci planted in front of the church! I love them
Here is a view inside the upstairs of the church where we have service..
And this cute little blue house is where we are going to live in about another 10 days! the renovations are being worked on as we speak! I cant wait to move in and set up our home :) The tan building to the left is the church. Ruan will have a very long walk to work everyday.. ;) ;)
well thats pretty much sums up our last 10 days here....
I hope to be able to post more pictures soon!
